Yellowstone Club's - Headwaters Camp, Big Sky, Montana (more pics here) Gated, private rustic mountain retreat-encampment located at 8000 feet; developed over 22 acres overlooking the Pioneer, Cedar and Lone Mountains; location South Central Montana, Big Sky.
The Owners program fully developed, designed and expressed by DJA consists of a Master Plan that allows for the largest, private aquatic development found within the Yellowstone Club. There are four ponds of varying size inter-connected by streams, water falls, fish spawning beds and wetlands. The larger pond approaches a million gallons and has been sized for a geothermal heating system that will service a Cabin and Primary Residence (yet to be constructed), each commanding a beautiful extended view of Lone and the Pioneer Mountain Range.
The first of three modern rustic, hybrid Cabins (1800 sf, one bedroom w/loft), was certified as LEED Platinum USGBC Montana Chaper and has been arguably stated as the best example of its kind. The Horse Barn consists of two stalls, tack, work area, a unique composting toilet and another first for the Club, a ridge line solar array.
The 9000 sf Primary Residence of Post & Beam western vernacular consists of three stories, unique programming and a commanding view specific floor plan.

Beaver Creek Ranch Cabin - Custom Residence (pic enlargement here) The Beaver Creek Cabin was intended to be less than 1200 sf; the expressions are mountain rustic, organic and allow for a generous entry procession, outside fireplace and a separate detached-covered guest suite, artist studio or hobby room.
